At Riverbend, we are committed to making great malt for artisan distillers and craft breweries. We love brainstorming with producers to determine what they want to achieve and how our craft malt can contribute.
We care deeply about the local farmers who grow our grain, and we care about sustainability; this adds to the compelling “story” you are telling with each of your beers and spirits.
We also understand that you are running a business. We’ve found that beer and spirits consumers have an appreciation for craft malt for many of the same reasons that they appreciate craft beers and single-barrel whiskey.

Sustainability & Community
Environmental stewardship is a core Riverbend value, and we make every business decision with the environment in mind.
Our founders started their professional careers as environmental consultants and ensured that the Riverbend culture includes consideration for our planet. The grain we use doesn’t travel thousands of miles in carbon emitting vehicles and doesn’t have to cross an ocean to get to us. It comes from local, family owned farms – we can even accommodate in-state local sourcing requests from our Southeastern customers. We have also implemented a waste recycling program with local farmers that converts 90% of our solid waste into animal feed.
